Karen received her master’s in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, after receiving her bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Her passion is working with clients to unite the mind and body by focusing on his/her unique natural skill set, as well as strengthening necessary skills to guide a client to a more fulfilling and authentic life.
She offers nonjudgmental, compassionate and intuitive counsel in various areas such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, boundary setting, PTSD, parent/child relationships, gender and sexual orientation issues and personality disorders.
Karen enjoys working with various individuals and works especially well with older adolescents to geriatric clients. She forms her therapeutic approach on a variety of evidence-based practices including person-centered therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
She uses holistic and strength-based approaches. She also offers a spiritual outlook using earth-Centered and Christian perspectives upon request.
