Ruth has a Masters in Clinical Counseling from Wake Forest University and has been
working as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor for the last four years. Over the last 15 years, she has volunteered or worked in rape crisis and domestic violence centers. This type of work has led to her work with a wide variety of individuals in various states of crises. This helped her develop a passion for helping people work through their mental health difficulties until they achieve their desired progress.
She has worked with a variety of mental health diagnoses like trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar, BPD, and communication difficulties. Ruth has worked with all genders, starting with adolescents on up. This has prepared her to work with people who seek help in difficulties with their emotional health. Her work as a counselor and in these crisis centers, has led her to work in a variety settings that helps her to be adaptable to work with a variety of needs.
She has worked in hospitals with survivors, with officers talking with survivors, and in the quiet moments with clients who just need to talk. It has helped her be ready for the clients who are ready to do the emotional work that brought them to counseling. Ruth looks forward to working with you all.
